EuroNCAP, the European body specialized in car safety testing, has developed a list of the 8 safest cars on the European market. The American firm Ford is the one that is in this ranking models: has 3 self-produced vehicles. These are the Ford B-Max, Kuga and Transit.
The list is completed by the BMW 3 Series, the Renault Clio, the Hyundai Santa Fe, the Volvo V40 and the Fiat 500L. All of them (and the 3 aforementioned Ford models) were chosen by EuroNCAP for the high ratings obtained in the crash tests, the sections of adult occupant protection, protection of children and pedestrians and equipped with security assistance systems.
It is noteworthy that the small MPV, the 500L and the B-Max takes the highest rating, while the combined score was higher for the Volvo V40.

In addition to the above models, the European body underlined the good results in security scores of other cars like the Ford Fiesta, the Opel Mokka, the Volvo V60 plug-in hybrid, the Subaru Forester and the Range Rover.
By contrast, the Renault Trafic and Jeep Compass took the worst EuroNCAP 2013 ratings.
