BMW 1 Series comes in three-door body

BMW has decided to surprise the world with information and images of the second body of the three doors BMW 1 Series.
Besides the new design and its new level, the BMW 1 Series three-door also benefits from new engines that are attached to the existing supply in the version with five-door body. The star is the M135i that hides a six-cylinder 320 hp.
The BMW 1 Series three-door, which opens with the xDrive AWD in Series 1, will ship in the month of December with a basic version called 114i, with a 1.6 four-cylinder technology TwinPower Turbo 102 hp potency.

Design and dimensions
The new BMW 1 Series three-door is larger than its predecessor, thus gaining in interior roominess. It measures 4.32 meters long (8.5 inches) of which correspond to 2.69 meters and 1.76 meters battle wide (1.7 inches).
According to BMW the track width increases by 51 mm front and 72 mm behind, while making more space for rear passengers knees in 21 mm. The height of 1.42 meters not vary with respect to the previous generation. The boot, meanwhile, is 360 liters.
In terms of design concerns highlighted by a well-marked lines, especially the waist, and a camouflaged B-pillar on the glass surface. Both the front and the rear are obviously very similar to those of its five-door sibling.

In the same manner as in the variant with five doors, or even in the Series 3, BMW 1 Series provides for three gates different finishing lines, in this case two, Sport and Urban. Each finish is characterized by a specific front, bumpers and designs of wheels (16 inch and 17 inch standard option) and interior too specific (the first sportier and more luxurious second).

Engines
The BMW 1 Series in three-door variant has many versions depending on what is hidden under the hood, from the most basic and the 102 hp 114i even the sport and it is so far the top model, the M135i.

The M135i riding a six-cylinder 3-liter that develops 320 hp at 5,800 rpm and 450 Nm of torque (between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm) through technology TwinPower Turbo. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds (4.9 seconds with automatic transmission) and reaches 250 km/h. The average consumption is 8 liters a hundred (7.5 the automatic) and 175 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometer. Moreover, in this version the chassis is tuned by M and also receives aerodynamic changes.

BMW M135i
The bottom step in the petrol range is the 125i, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 218 hp and 310 Nm of torque. Make the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds (6.2 with automatic transmission), reaches 245 km/h and consumes 6.6 liters on average (6.4 on automatic). Emits 154 g/km of carbon dioxide.

Below is the 116i, a 1.6-liter 136 hp and 220 Nm capable of reaching 100 km/h from standstill in 8.5 seconds and touch the 210 km/h. Consumes on average between 5.5 and 5.7 liters per hundred kilometers. Emissions are around 130 g/km.

Access to the petrol range is the 114i, but also a 1.6 102 hp. The 0 to 100 km/h takes 11 seconds and reaches 195 km/h. Consumption is equal to the next higher version, the 116i, that is, between 5.5 and 5.7 liters per hundred.

BMW M135i
The diesel range starts with a 116d Efficient Dynamics Edition, a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel 116 hp and 260 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and reaches 195 km/h. The power consumption is only 3.8 liters per hundred kilometers (99 g/km of carbon dioxide). The standard 116d has the same power but consumes half a liter more.

The BMW 118d is a 2-liter 143 hp and 320 Nm of maximum torque. Sprinta from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and get 212 km/h. The average consumption is about 4.5 liters per hundred kilometers (118 g/km of carbon dioxide).

Finally, the most powerful of the diesels, the 125d, also mounted a 2-liter but in this case 218 hp and 450 Nm of maximum torque with which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds (6, the automatic 3) and reaches 240 km/h. The average consumption is 4.9 liters per hundred.

Equipment
The BMW 1 Series three-door offers standard central locking, electric mirrors, electric windows, radio/CD with six speakers and auxiliary input jack, air conditioning.
To find the most interesting equipment must dive in the long list of options ranging from dual zone climate control and seats with electric adjustments and heated up sunroof, fog lamps and tow hook.

As regards to security and welfare system there are automatic headlamps, parking assistance, rear view camera system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control.
BMW even offers a SIM card integrated into the vehicle that allows internet access and even view content from social networks like Facebook or Twitter in the media display of the vehicle.
