Chinese cars go up dramatically in rating EuroNCAP certifications
It was a matter of time (long, in fact) that the Chinese vehicles, once considered unreliable or low quality (and compared with the cheap products of bazaars multiprecio), give the big step to the forefront of safety, as evidenced by the recent tests conducted by NCAP.
In the last decade, Chinese cars have become the Cinderella of the industry in terms of deformation tests and safety accidents. Cars like the Brilliance BS6 and Land wind X6 were evaluated with one and zero stars, respectively, making them impossible to harmonize the European market.
These poor grades, with emissions above the permitted, have been the two biggest obstacles in the way of Chinese companies that want to sell cars in Europe and the United States, so that the automobile industry of the world’s second largest economy raised a number of improvements that seem to have borne fruit in the latest round of crash test EuroNCAP both Geely Emgrand EC7 as MG6 were rated four stars by placing them on par with other models of well-established companies: the Fiat Panda, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jaguar XF, and the plug-in ZE Renault Fluence, which were tested in the same round of tests.
Michiel van Ratingen Under Secretary General of Euro NCAP, the results “a milestone for the Chinese auto industry” to prove that the manufacturers of this country are building a solid platform for control of vehicle safety.
