Land Rover Experience: another way to encourage the Pumas
These days it is quite speaks of Twickenham Stadium. But many forget another landmark of England Solihull . This town, located only 151 kilometres from London, is the historical basis of the headquarters of Land Rover. It is surrounded by a test track of 14 kilometres, where some of the best all-rounder in the world were developed.
With the excuse of the Rugby World Cup , which is a sponsor and Land Rover invited customers around the world to participate in the call Solihull Experience : a visit to the facilities, including test drive.
There was a group of Argentine customers, invited by the importer Ditec . It was a three-night trip, which included hosting the banks of the Thames and tickets to watch the match for the Pumas against the All Blacks at Wembley.
They traveled a total of six Argentine clients of the brand. They were selected from those who bought models Range Rover Sport 2015 (see release notes ) and among customers of other models who participated in a raffle at a cocktail before the World Cup.
For understandable reasons, Ditec not identify customers, but to vehicles mentioned have in their garages: Range Rover Sport , All New Range Rover Sport and even Jaguar F-Type .
Such prospects could not have been fed based on Fish & Chips , so the tour included a gastronomic tour with visit to Bread Street Kitchen , the restaurant chef Gordon Ramsay (known for the series “Hell’s Kitchen” ).
But back to the cars. Day test drive in Solihull was to test drive two paths: Jungle (marsh, chocolatey mud, wading) and Extreme (stones, wells, bridges and other cataclysms). The idea was to test all functions of known Terrain Response 2 , the intelligent system for the Land Rover off-road driving.
The tour was conducted with three models in the current range: All New Range Rover Sport , Range Rover Vogue and Discovery 4 For the nostalgic also a classic reserved. Defender , and discontinued in Argentina ( read obituary ).
