Mercedes Benz S63 AMG 2013 officially unveiled

Mercedes Benz S63 AMG officially presents 2014 before its debut to the public in the month of September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model comes with AMG typical settings such as: more aggressive bumpers, beefier side skirts, alloy wheels 19-inch, 4 exhaust outlets, among others.

It is 100kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to the AMG light-alloy wheels of 19 inches (with tires 255/45 and 285/40), a lightweight lithium-ion battery (with saving 20 kg), optimized brake system space for the spare wheel in carbon fiber and machined aluminum body, including the roof. In this way it offers a weight / power ratio of 3.49 kg per hp.

Engine 5.5-liter V8 biturbo with 585 hp (436 kW) and 900 Nm of maximum torque that works together with a transmission AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed offering three operating modes: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport) and “M”(Manual). It also has 4Matic AWD and Start / Stop.

Mercedes Benz S63 AMG accelerates from 0 to 100km in 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250km / h. Consumption is 10 liters / 100km for the rear-wheel drive version of 10.3 liters per 100km for the all-wheel drive. Meanwhile the level of pollutant emissions is 237 g / km and 242 g / km respectively.

As an option you can opt for high-performance ceramic brakes with front brake calipers 420 mm, among others.
