Ready to debut at the New York Auto Show, the Chevrolet Sonic renovated 2017 has been announced as a “take more expressive, sporty and fun to drive small cars of the brand.”
Starting with the exterior, the car has been equipped with a new facade that resembles the one used in the Spark. The model also features a sculpted and projector headlights with LED daytime running optional hood. Rounding out the changes are a new rear bumper, redesigned wheels, and updated color palette now includes Arctic Blue Metallic, Sulphur, Cajun Red and Orange Burst Metallic paint.
Chevrolet declined to release photographs of the interior but said the model has a new instrument panel and infotainment system MyLink improved which has a seven-inch screen, as well as compatibility with Apple and Android carplay. The model can also be equipped with some optional, including driver’s seat electrically adjustable, heated steering wheel and rear parking assistance.
The RS version of the new 2017 Sonic has a flat bottom steering wheel, piano black finish, and upholstery marked “RS”. The RS variant can also be ordered with cloth seats red. Under the hood, two engines are available, input models are powered by a four – cylinder engine of 1.8 liters, while variants high end have a four – cylinder 1.4 – liter turbo that produces 138 horsepower.
