Projection: New Opel Corsa 2020 in GSi and OPC versions
The New Opel Corsa 2020 is already there. Or rather, in Europe. The compact hatch of the German brand is expected to debut as a purely electric car in the version called Corsa-e. But obviously the PSA will not just release it with electric power. Common and sports versions are expected to come out around 2020.
In this case, the expectation of many is the few buying option. We are talking about the sports versions GSi and OPC. The first one became famous in Brazil since the Kadett. In these projections of X-Tomi Design, the expected look of these two important variants of the European hatch can be appreciated.
In the GSi version, the New Opel Corsa 2020 is imagined as having two side air intakes with gray frames and a very wide bottom grille. This and the superior have chrome elements. The 18-inch sports wheels also contemplate the proposal of this projection.
Going into reality, a new Opel Corsa 2020 in its GSi version can only count on 180-horsepower Puretech 1.6 Turbo engine, about 30 more horsepower than the current one. If it were sold here, it would have the 1.6 THP of 165 horses. In a possible OPC, the cavalry would be commanded by the Puretech Turbo 1.6 of 225 horses. Both options are used today in the Peugeot 508.
Thus, the New Opel Corsa 2020 in an OPC, front battery with VW Polo GTi, Renault Clio RS, Ford Fiesta ST, among others. In that case, the front would have an additional grille next to the hood and lower suspension, also gaining rimmed wheels 19 personalized and with golden brake calipers. Even a rear airfoil would be added.
It is likely that in both versions, the New Opel Corsa 2020 will have Aisin’s eight-speed automatic transmission option. In the other options, the hatch should have the Puretech 1.2 of 82 horses, while the turbinated version should be between 110 and 130 horses, as well as the eventual diesel 1.5 BlueHDi with 100 horses.
