Fiat held on April 9, the mark of 13 million vehicles produced in the factory in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. A Sporting Palio 1.6 16V red E.torQ historic dialed plant production, on July 9 this year, completes 37 years of operation. It is the largest carmaker Fiat Chrysler Group in the world and the largest car plant in Latin America.
When opened in 1976 for the production of Fiat 147 model, Betim factory had a production capacity of 200 000 units per year. Successive investments increased installed capacity to the current 800 thousand units per year, equivalent to 3200l units per day.
Betim Fiat produces 16 models in over 200 versions, to serve the markets of Brazil, Europe, Latin America and all its export markets. Every 20 seconds, a new vehicle is manufactured at the plant, which is undergoing a new round of investment, which will increase production capacity to 950,000 units per year. Its wide range of products and industrial capacity made the Fiat the leader in the Brazilian market for the eleventh year.
